The Jacket Journal has received a first place award for the work on the campus and in the area. This was the sixth year that the Jacket Journal has been recognized by the American Scholastic Press Association. The ASPA recognizes the work of top literary magazines and newspapers of high schools and colleges from around the nation.

Each semester the Jacket Journal goes through changes with the staff and with the advancement of technology. These past semesters there was consistency of excellence in the staff but also new measures to have current content on BHSUmedia.com. Everyone at the Jacket Journal wishes to strive the best at gathering news and being a stronger voice for the campus.
